Ruffa G feels for Anne after publicized bar incident

Ruffa Gutierrez is saddened with the fact that the recent bar incident involving actress-TV host Anne Curtis and several other celebrity friends had to be brought out into the limelight.

“Ako, my heart goes to Anne. Feeling ko she doesn’t deserve it (criticism). She already asked for forgiveness, tinanggap naman ng all parties involved. Tapos na; this is between her and those people involved,” Ruffa said in an interview with ABS-CBN News, published Thursday.

The “It’s Showtime” host has already made her statement on Twitter regarding the controversy: “For those who have read about the issue, yes, most of it is true. I admit to that & I have apologized to all parties included immediately…”

Ruffa is more than aware of negative and even harsh commentaries that follow issues made public – as it had been with this one, which actually came out a week after it happened.

“Sometimes, there are things na nangyayari behind closed doors na naaayos na the next day. Nakakalungkot lang na lumabas pa. For me, it’s a sign of betrayal kasi if you accept one’s apology, dapat hindi na lumabas ’yon. Once na lumabas ’yon, ang dami nang judgment so, nakalalungkot,” she explained.

Noting that Anne is also a family friend, the former beauty queen and the Gutierrezes “just hope and pray that Anne rises above this and continues her success kasi pinaghirapan niya ang pangalan niya. Nakakalungkot na sa isang gabi mawawala ’yon, marami ang nagdya-judge.”

She shared of her advice to Anne: “Be strong at kayanin mo lahat ito. Lahat naman ng tao ay may trials na pinagdadaanan sa buhay, ang importante ay alam mo ang ginawa mo, kung may nagawa kang kasalanan ay pwede mong baguhin.”
