Aljur Abrenica has refuted talk that GMA-7’s Sunday All Stars (SAS) has taken advantage of him and fellow Kapuso stars by encouraging them to bare their bodies in performances.
“Hindi po totoo ’yan! Wala pong katotohanan ’yun, hindi po totoo na pinagsasamantalahan po ng SAS ’yung pagkakataon na paghubarin kami, hindi po,” Aljur told PEP.
The issue stemmed from Ligang ilike group’s dance number on SAS last Aug.25 in which Aljur, Alden Richards and Enzo Padilla were shown topless in a tribal costume while dancing to Beenie Man’s “Gimme Gimme.”
Aljur says he agrees to wearing the outfit.
“Kasi bawat isa po sa amin meron po kaming sariling desisyon, free will kung gusto naming gawin ang isang bagay o hindi.”
The “StarStruck” alumna added that “Yung paghuhubad po namin dun, nagkataon lang po na kailangan naming sumunod sa theme… So, nagkataon talagang naghubad kami dahil iyon ang peg… hindi po totoo ang sinasabi nilang pinagsasamantalahan kami. Never.”
