Lian Paz ready to love again

A year after Paolo Contis and Lian Paz threw in the towel on their marriage, she says someone special has been brightening up her day.

In an interview with Bulletin Entertainment at the launch of “Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko,” Lian said his name is John Cabahug and that they’ve been in courtship for six months now. The two were schoolmates during their elementary and high school days in Cebu, but lost contact after graduation and only reconnected recently via Facebook. She said that if they become a couple, it could lead to the altar.

But what about her annulment case with Paolo?

“Legal matter na po siya so hinihintay ko na lang po yung decision ng court. From there, magsasalita naman po kami about it. It would take three to six months po yata (before a decision comes out)…” she said.

Lian said her kids know what’s going on in the love front.

“Parang may mga sariling utak na, parang mature na sila. Alam nila kung sino ang papa nila at kapag bumibisita naman si John, alam nila na ‘Tito John’ siya.”

She admires men who fall for women with children “kasi hindi po lahat ng lalake ay kayang i-shoulder kung ano man yung pasan mo sa buhay. So kung kaya po niyang mahalin ang aking mga anak, tingnan natin…”

According to a release, “Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko” is about a hardworking young woman who was orphaned at a young age. In the orphanage, Princess will meet Nick, who often becomes the subject of bullying among the kids. Princess will become Nick’s defender from these bullies and they eventually become close friends.

The GMA-7 series stars Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica and will start airing on Sept. 23 after “24 Oras” on GMA Telebabad. It is said to be the first Pinoy program shot in full HD using DLSR cameras.
