Melai’s friends to Jason: Prove your worth

While the friends of Melai Cantiveros are happy for the pregnant actress-comedian, they nevertheless expressed some concerns for her as well.

In a press interview during a set visit to “Banana Nite,” comedian Pooh made an appeal for Jason’s diligence to their friend, whom they treat as “bunso namin na lukaret.”

“Anong puwede mong maibigay pa na, alam mo iyon? I-prove mo sa amin na worth ka talaga para du’n sa kaibigan namin,” Pooh challenged Jason.

He added: “Kaibigan din naman namin si Jason, hindi lang ganon ka-close.”

Angelica Panganiban, for her part, disclosed that she cried after a phone conversation with Melai about the “good news.” She shared her realizations about the gravity of the situation, especially with her friend being the breadwinner of the family.

Admitting that he has yet to talk to Jason, she aired some questions for the couple: “Kakayanin niyo ba? Kakayanin ba niya ‘yung ganyang kalaking responsibilidad?”

Angelica’s worry stems from the ordeal her friend when through when she broke up with Jason last year.

“Kaya ako nag-aalala talaga… kasi ako, nakita kita kung paano ka nu’n, nu’ng naghiwalay kayo, ganyan. Kumabaga, araw-araw kang umiiyak. So, nakita ko ‘yung pain, kung paano siya nakapag-move on. Natulungan ko siya do’n,” she claimed.

Meanwhile, John Prats, who had altercation with Jason reportedly over Melai, does not count on being a godfather to Melason’s child.

“Parang feeling ko, hindi naman ako makukuhang ninong. Feeling ko lang. Kung si Melai siguro, there’s a possibility,” he surmised.

He clarified, though, that he had forgiven Jason but they have yet to speak. He said he’s happy for the two “kasi mukha naman silang masaya.”

John hopes that the baby will strengthen Melason’s relationship.
