Despite the recent spate of celebrity breakups, Bea Alonzo maintains that her relationship with boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo is secure.
“He trusts me enough na alam niya na hindi ko siya lolokohin at ako ganun din sa kanya. Siguro kasi hindi kami nagsasawang i-reassure yung isa’t-isa every single day… Kung secure naman kayo sa relasyon niyo walang selosan,” she told members of the press in a recent interview during the Olay and Watsons’ “Spotless: A Pitch Black Event” at the Mall of Asia SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
Bea recalls having a conversation with Zanjoe about the string of breakups, telling him, “My gosh, sunod-sunod na (ang naghihiwalay), tayo nalang ang kumakapit.”
She added, “Kapag nakakarinig ako ng ganyang news or stories parang mas lalo ko siyang minamahal, mas lalo akong nagiging appreciative kung anong meron ako.”
As brand ambassador of Olay, the number one facial care brand that also recently launched the New Olay White Radiance Spot Line product, Bea remains confident, fresh-looking and radiant despite her busy schedule. All that time apart from Zanjoe, notwithstanding, she more than makes up for it by visiting him every weekend and cooking him food.
“(Dahil matagal kaming) halos ’di nagkita… ngayon, mas sweet kami sa isat-isa. Siya, extra sweet siya sa akin kasi na-miss niya ako,” adding that, “Nakatulong (’yung busy schedule) sa relasyon namin na hindi naman namin sinasadya…”
Kid talk already?
Although not yet ready to settle down soon, Bea is open to the idea of having a baby six or seven years from now.
She shared that Zanjoe believes “na magiging mabuting ina ako sa mga anak ko pero alam niya matagal pa.”
The “She’s The One” star is fond of kids, especially Andrea Brillantes, who plays Zanjoe’s daughter on “Annaliza.”
“Sobrang natutuwa ako sa kanya… ang ganda, ganda niyang bata,” said Bea.
The 25-year-old feels Zanjoe would make a “perfect father” and “perfect husband.”
“Hindi man siya yung ma-grand gesture, sweet siya in his own way… hindi siya ’yung kagaya nung iba na ‘I’ll show you the world,’ but at least he’s real.”
At this point of her life, “wala (na akong) mahihiling pa sa lahat ng bahagi ng buhay ko – career, family, love, I feel so blessed,” said she.
