Jason Francisco and Melai Cantiveros confirmed on Thursday that they are tying the knot in December, in a ceremony to be held at the latter’s hometown of General Santos City.

Earlier, Cantiveros publicly admitted that she is pregnant with Francisco’s child.

Francisco revealed that he already met with Cativeros’ family to formally ask for her hand in marriage.

“Namanhikan na po. Inaayos na lang po yung kasal,” Francisco intimated in a report on ABS-CBNNews.com, relating that they are still in General Santos City to attend to matters relating to the upcoming wedding.

“Nagse-seminar po kasi kami sa Population Commission at sa Sabado at Linggo sa simbahan (naman) po para sa kasal sa December,” Cantiveros detailed.

The two nevertheless assured fans that they will continue with their showbiz commitments. Among others, Cantiveros shared that she and Francisco might appear together in an upcoming project.

“May offer po pero hindi pa po pwedeng sabihin, pero may offer po na gagawin naming project ni Jason,” said Cantiveros, who was also tapped to host the upcoming reality show “I Dare You.”

Almost apologetically, she also said, “Gusto ko pong magpasalamat sa lahat dahil sinuportahan nila ako, lalo na sa pagkakataong ito. Ayaw ko lang talagang i-risk ‘yung (buhay) ng baby ko.”

She went on to defend Francisco from bashers.

“I’m very happy at masaya ako at napakabait at supportive ng soon-to-be husband ko si Jason. (Sinisiguro) ko po sa inyo, maayos po kami,” said she.
