Rhian brings joy to kids with illness on her birthday

With hopes of making her 23rd birthday celebration more meaningful, Rhian Ramos opted to hold her party at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center in Quezon City.

This is the third time she has spent her birthday in the company of the patients of the said hospital.

“Kasi they’re kids. Gusto kong maramdaman nila na bata sila at nage-enjoy sila. Dapat talaga sa kanila ‘yung nae-enjoy nila, may party, so sana ‘yun ‘yung ma-feel nila,” she said in a report aired on the “Chika Minute” segment of “24 Oras Weekend.”

She may have put the needs of others before hers on her special day, but Rhian has already been treated to a surprise birthday party courtesy of her boyfriend, KC Montero, and the cast and crew of her sci-fi drama series “Genesis.”

Rhian recounted that she and KC were parking on the side of the road when she noticed the “Genesis” team, along with director Joyce Bernal, holding a birthday cake for her. Then they took her to a karaoke bar for a nightlong singing session.

Prior to that, though, Rhian already got an early birthday gift of sorts. She and Marian Rivera, the girlfriend of her leading man Dingdong Dantes, finally got the chance to talk at the birthday party for GMA showbiz reporter Aubrey Caramper’s child.

This encounter finally ended the rumors of bad blood between the two ladies.

Admitting that they’ve never had a chance to talk before despite working in the same TV network, Rhian said Marian took the initiative to approach her.

“Sabi namin, ‘Okay, wala ‘di ba?’ ‘Wala!’ Picture tayo para alam nilang lahat na happy,’” she shared of their conversation.

On Instagram, she posted photo of them with that caption that read: “Finally got a chance to chat over some ice cream at #AmbyTurns1 =)”

After that, she started following Marian on Instagram.
