As “My Husband’s Lover” nears conclusion, it won’t be without surprises – Ryan Agoncillo being one of those.

The 34-year-old actor-TV host joins the cast of the gay-themed series, adding to the list of Tom Rodriguez, Dennis Trillo, Victor Basa, Rodjun Cruz and Keempee de Leon who play gay characters on the show.

While further details about his role have not been disclosed, Ryan is Sam in the series and he will create a twist in the story on finale week.

“Without giving away too much, ang role ko dito (ay) nasa bandang dulo na,” he said in a taped interview aired on “Unang Hirit” (“Unang Chika” segment).

Ryan advises viewers to keep their eyes glued to the screen, noting “Huwag kayong kukurap, baka hindi niyo ako makita (laughs), o makikita naman pero medyo maganda.”

Ryan didn’t have second thoughts accepting the offer to appear as guest on the series. The “Eat Bulaga!” host actually has had to work out his schedule to accommodate the opportunity.

“Nu’ng sinabi nila na may tyansa ako na maging parte at makahabol pa sa finale ng ‘My Husband’s Lover,’ na-excite ako.

“Um-oo na ako agad, medyo buhol-buhol ‘yung schedule, inayos para lang makasipot sa taping tapos nu’ng naghahanda na ako para pumunta sa taping du’n ko nalaman,” said he, who portrayed a transvestite on TV5’s “Lady Dada” in 2010.

Meanwhile, cast of “My Husband’s Lover” attended a meet and greet event at the Farmers Plaza in Quezon City Sunday. The cast is set to fly to the US to meet up with other fans.
