Luis Manzano is “happy” these days, saying that he is moving on from his recent heartbreak.
Reports of the Kapamilya host-actor’s split with girlfriend of almost two years Jennylyn Mercado broke in October.
Months after, Luis sheds a positive outlook as seen in his work engagements and TV shows.
“I’m happy… Believe it or not, every smile you see in me is genuine. Things happen for a reason. Always look at the brighter side of life. Life is too short to sulk or feel sad,” he said in a report posted on Showbiz Portal.
Noting that he and the Kapuso star is indeed moving on, Luis maintained his stance in keeping the reason behind the split private. “Naku, sa amin na lang ’yun. Basta we’re both moving on. I can’t say anything negative against her.”
Luis wants to take a break from having a romantic relationship. He added that his mother, Batangas Governor and Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos, is very supportive of him.
He said, “She’s always understanding and supportive. When we had our short family vacation in Japan for her recent birthday, she asked me, ‘O anak, magbakasyon tayo, may isasama ka na ba?’ Sabi ko, ‘Wala. Teka naman muna, momsie, hihinga muna ko.’”
The “Minute To Win It” host partly credits his current “happy” state of mind to his mom. “Pagdating sa mga personal kong issues, hindi siya talaga nakikialam. Ang lagi lang niyang sinasabi, don’t dwell on the pain, just count your blessings. And I’m counting my blessings kaya nga I’m happy.”
The 32-year-old actor also sees her as “the only constant woman in my life” and that he would marry someone with the same characteristics as her someday.
