Mommy D happy with improved Manny

The People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao can expect his mom Dionisia “Mommy D” Pacquiao’s full support when he faces Brandon Rios this weekend.

“Walang tinigil; pinagp-pray ko siya, na sana mabawi niya ’tong pag(ka)talo niya sa una. Basta ngayon manalo na siya! Gusto ko matalo na niya ’yung kalaban niya,” Mommy D said in an exclusive interview with GMA News.

Prior to his fight with Rios on Nov. 24 (PHL time) at the Cotai Arena in Macau, Manny suffered two losses in the hands of Timothy Bradley and Manuel Marquez. Recall that Mommy D deemed that his son’s “renewed faith” might have played a part in both setbacks.

Have they sorted out these issues?

“Hindi naman nagalit kasi okay naman siya. Ayan ang kagustuhan niya – kung anong gusto niya – hayaan ko lang siya,” Mommy D clarified.

The Pacquiao matriarch is actually pleased with the noticeable improvement in Manny’s attitude.

“Wala naman siya bisyo, walang sugal – wala na lahat,” Mommy D shared of his son’s present lifestyle.

Manny arrived in Macau Monday evening aboard a private plane, with coach Freddie Roach, and assistant trainers Buboy Fernandez, Nonoy Neri and Marvin Somodio, as part of his entourage.
