Manny Pacquiao’s win against Brandon Rios this weekend would help uplift the spirits of his countrymen in this time of grief.

“Dine-dedicate ko ’tong fight na to para sa ating mga kababayan na nasalanta ng bagyo (na ‘Yolanda’ in the Visayas region). At siyempre sa buong Pilipinas,” Manny told “Unang Hirit” in an exclusive interview.

The match is set for Nov. 23 (PHL date) at the Cotai Arena in Macau

Is he pressured over the fight in light of his intention?

“Wala namang pressure; basta God is with us, no foe can be against us. Nandiyan ang Panginoon sa’tin, walang imposible.”

The first and only eight-division world champion revealed Team Pacquiao’s plans to personally deliver relief goods to Tacloban after his fight.

“Naka-advance na ’yung ipamimigay natin, at ang Panginoon, (through) God’s will, makapagdala pa tayo ulit pagbalik natin doon, ta’s tayo ang mismong pupunta doon,” he said.

Manny is aware of the devastated places in Visayas “(na) hindi accessible na puntahan – wala masyadong pagkain. Kailangan natin din abutin at mabigyan sila.”

Stronger

Manny’s wife, Jinkee, is pregnant with their fifth child and enjoying her stronger relationship with the boxer.

“Malaking difference, kasi before, medyo magulo, ’di ba madaming intriga, madaming tsismis, pag magfa-fight na siya? Ngayon, sobrang peaceful,” she said.

They hope to have a baby boy. “Gusto ni Manny, boy din. Gusto niya basketball team,” she quipped.
