Richard and Jodi get ‘wedding’ jitters

Ser Chief and Maya, the characters that Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria play on Kapamilya series “Be Careful With My Heart,” will finally tie the knot on the series on Nov. 15.

Richard described the “Fairytale Wedding of the Year” a surreal experience because of the meticulous and elaborate planning that went into it. Even viewers were involved in picking the wedding gown of Maya through texting.

“May wedding jitters nga kaming dalawa. This is as real as it comes to a real wedding so lahat ng preparations nandyan like counseling and rehearsals. All the wedding preparations talagang ginagawa dito. Well kung character kami we also have to be in character also. We feel what it feels like to be in a real wedding,” shared Richard.

It’s a big budgeted wedding scene according to Ginny Monteagudo-Ocampo, Business Unit Head of “Be Careful With My Heart.” To give viewers a sort of real time wedding experience, the whole ceremony will be shot continuously.

“The wedding will be taped as live. Yung buong ceremony ng kasal gagawin namin ng dirediretso para ma-experience yung solemnity ng occasion parang ganun na rin. Kasi ayaw naming putol-putol siyang i-shoot,” Ginny explained.

She added that the wedding scene’s technical aspect alone is expensive but thanks to the sponsors they got, the cost was brought down. Moreover, they don’t want to make it an “extravagant wedding” because that won’t fit Maya’s character so they kept everything as simple as possible.

“For the record, it is the longest wedding airing sa isang soap opera kasi the week after the wedding meron namang wedding reception,” Ginny proudly shared.

With regards to Maya and Ser Chef’s “Fairytale Honeymoon,” it will be in Japan to make Maya’s dream come true to experience snow. As for how many kids they’d like to have, Maya wants a boy and a girl while Ser Chief, a dozen.

Aside from the wedding on Nov. 15, there are other special surprises in store for the viewers: Will the estranged couple Teresita (Sylvia Sanchez) and Arturo (Lito Pimentel) reconcile in time to walk their daughter Maya down the aisle? And how will Ricky and his three kids make the wedding more memorable for soon-to-be Mrs. Lim?
